its been soooooooo long since i've last updated my blog, just been way too lazy to come on here after work, haha my bed became my new best friend =) my new work's been well, its already my second week here haha cannot say that time's passing by fast, it's just long dreadful days, anyhow, last week was nice, feels like i got caught up with everyone and their lives, it feels nice to know what's going on again.
went to PEACE last friday, and Simon shared the story of adopting his child Jayden, Jayden's from an orphanage in China, and... well to make a long story short, Jayden is just one of the few fortunate ones that are adopted, while the rest of them, remains behind closed doors, where no one would ever find out that they existed... i remembered a couple of years back i wanted to adopt a child when im financially more stable, i guess in a few years after thinking more clearly, i realized what a tough and courageous action it is, and it never came across my mind again. Coming across the second reading from the past sunday... i cant agree more... that faith alone is not enough, its so explicitely stated in the passage, "So also faith of itself, if it does not have works, is dead. "... truly.. had Simon and bobo just visited the orphanage and backed off with fear and whatever selfish obstacles we place in front of us and decided, ok i'll just pray for you unfortunate children, then Jayden would not have been the blessed and healthy baby he is now. So many things going on around the world that we cannot see, Canada is a safe and sheltered country, where i must say, most people dont care what's going on around the world, as long as... we're at peace in here. We really need to take courage and step out and see for ourselves what the world is like, what is hidden from us, what we have been sheltered from all along... just taking small steps and getting out of your comfort zone is hard enough, cant even imagine what courage it took simon and bobo to take Jayden home =) Jayden's so blessed. children deserve to be blessed.
2nd reading... Jas 2:14-18
What good is it, my brothers, if someone says he has faith but does not have works? Can that faith save him? If a brother or sister has nothing to wear and has no food for the day, and one of you says to them, "Go in peace, keep warm, and eat well," but you do not give them the necessities of the body, what good is it? So also faith of itself, if it does not have works, is dead. Indeed someone might say, "You have faith and I have works." Demonstrate your faith to me without works, and I will demonstrate my faith to you from my works.
